The Lincoln Mill is a large scale project underway to convert the historic Lincoln Mill in Biddeford, Maine into 148 apartments and a boutique hotel expected to be completed in phases in 2022 and 2022. The property is owned by LHL Holdings, LLC, a venture of Eric Chinburg and Tim Harrington and is located in the City's rapidly revitalizing mill district. Financing for this development project involved a mix of federal and state historic tax credits, construction and permanent financing from Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank and several participating banks, subordinate financing from the Maine Rural Development Authority and Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission and several individuals as mezzanine lenders and equity investors. The City of Biddeford also played a significant role by providing tax increment financing and other development assistance. Attorneys John Kaminski and Peter Klein represented the developers.

With the help of Drummond Woodsum attorneys Michael-Corey Hinton and Aaron Pratt the Passamaquoddy Tribe recently closed a major sale of verified carbon offset credits generated from Tribal trust lands. By encouraging natural forest growth over 98,000 acres of Tribal land, the project preserves stored carbon in the forest and enables an additional revenue stream through the sale of carbon offsets, also known as carbon credits. "The Passamaquoddy carbon offset project was a multilateral success that embodies true Tribal Nation building through environmental conservation and natural resource-based economic development that will benefit the Tribe for decades to come," said Hinton. The Forest Society of Maine chose Drummond Woodsum to help close the deal on the second-largest conservation easement in US history, which conserves woods, waters, and mountains in the Moosehead Lake region of Maine. The 363,000-acre easement provides a bridge between existing conservation lands, conserving the land and ensuring public access for recreation. The easement also permits forestry that meets the standards of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and other conservation guidelines, allowing sustainable forest products to continue to benefit the local economy. The easement was developed and funded in partnership with The Nature Conservancy and the Plum Creek Timber Company.

Drummond Woodsum's Indian Law Services Group is representing the Penobscot Indian Nation in federal court litigation to protect the tribe's hunting and fishing rights in the Penobscot River. The Nation's aboriginal homeland is centered on the Penobscot River, and its culture is closely tied to the River and its resources. In the late 1800s, the building now known as The Inn at Diamond Cove was a military barracks at the north end of Great Diamond Island in Portland, ME. In June 2015, it opened as a full-service inn comprised of 22 condominium units, restaurant, pool and other amenities. This rehabilitation was authored by Bateman Partners in collaboration with their partners at the Portland Harbor Hotel across Casco Bay.
